This model represents the very latest design of 40' dry box containers.
 
These boxes conform to the international hi-cube standard (they are 9.5' tall versus 8.5' for standard boxes.)
 
Also note the lack of logo panels on the sides.
 
These models have removable bottoms so weights can be added.
 
This is suggested for containers in the lower position in stack cars with plastic bodies.
 
Capital Intermodal supplies and finances a wide range of containers and container equipment.
 
Capital, like tex, Genstar, Tiphook, CAI and others, operates no ships.
 
Their business is leasing containers to customers who wish to guarantee a steady supply of containers.
 
Shipping lines also lease these containers to supplement their own fleet.
 
This allows them to test new markets without the risk of buying lots of equipment.
