About the BNSF SD40-2
A common BNSF paint scheme, the "Pumpkin" green and orange colors of the BNSF Heritage I paint scheme mirror the colors of the Great Northern Railroad. The original cross and circle company logo is displayed on the nose of the locomotive, indicative of the Heritage I coloration (Heritage II paint schemes using a "Cigar Band" logo reminiscent of the ATSF logo or a newer, more modern BNSF logo on the Heritage III).
