This is a self containted light kit that will fix many N Scale passenger cars from different manufactures including Kato, Rapido, Intermountain and more!
Light kit runs off of 2 Watch Style Batteries (Included)
With this light kit there is "No Flicker" "No Power Dead Spots" "No Issues With Pick-Up Bars Or Wheels!
Works On DC Or DCC Layouts As Power Is NOT Taken From The Track!
Product Installation Information
This kit will fit many N Scale Passenger cars on the market today.
Rapido suggest you mount the light kit to the roof of your passenger car with double sided tape (not included).
If car has "High/Tall" interior details like Kato's N Scale Superliner or El Capitan Cars additional installation steps ARE necessary for the kit to fix.
Example > In the case of the Kato Superliners 4 round mold circles on the roof of the car must be removed. Also all window supports must be cut down by about half. These steps allow for the lighting kit to lay flat on the roof and to clear enough of the interior detail for the shell to close correctly. Also in this example due to the limited interior clearance the light kits can lay loose and do not need to be attached to the cars roof. This makes battery change out much easier.
Due to the length of the light boards about 15% of a Kato Superliner or El Capitan car will not receive the same amount of light as the balance of the car. Please See Included Photo For An Example.
