This month we have added a "Search" by Scale & Railroad tool to our site.
This tool appears on the top right hand side of each page.
By selecting your scale, then the railroad you are looking for our search engine will bring up a list of locomotives, rolling stock & passengers cars that we have in stock or are coming available listed by manufacture.
If your search brings up "No Results", it simply means that currently we do not have any items for that road.
The "General Product Search" box on the "Top Left" of each page can be used to search the entire site for any type of item. Again if we have it, a listing by manufacture will appear.
One last note > In setting the search parameters we had to choose what we felt would produce the best overall search results/matches. What this means is that we allowed for a bit larger range when pulling up the list based on your search request.
An example of this is > if you search for BN (Burlington Northern) you will see Burlington Northern items And BNSF or Burlington Northern Santa Fe items. To refine the search so that would not happen would cause products to be missed in the search.
Another of the biggest issues with a narrower search is spelling. If someone tried to search for Burlington Northn Sante Fa (as an example) with a tighter search, only items that say "Burlington" would come up and probably in this example that would mean zero results.
As time goes on we will be peaking and tweeking the search engine.
